Ryan Dempster pitched 7 scoreless innings for the Cubs. He gave up only 3 hits and 3 walks, with 5 K’s.
Reed Johnson was the Cubs hitting hero – going 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored, including a home run. Milton Bradley was 3 for 4 with 1 run scored and Mike Fontenot went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored.
The Cubs trail the Brewers and Cardinals by 3.5 games in the NL Central race.
