Starlin Castro Named to Topps Major League Rookie All-Star Team – Wrigley Field 11/29/10

Starlin Castro was named to the Topps Major League Rookie All-Star Team today.

Castro batted .300 on the season and was one of the Cubs most consistent hitters since he was called up on May 7th against the Reds in Cincinnati.  In that game, Castro hit a 3-run home rum in his 1st at-bat and he also had 6 total RBI’s – a major league record for a player in his 1st game.

Let’s hope the 20-year old Castro continues to grow and mature in front of our eyes at the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field during the 2011 MLB schedule.
