What will the Cubs WGN radio broadcast look like in 2011 and beyond? One thing is for certain – Pat Hughes will be in the booth for a while. Hughes just signed a 5-year deal to continue doing the radio broadcasts for the Cubs.
Replacements for the legendary Ron Santo include former Cubs greats – Rick Sutcliffe, Dave Otto, Keith Moreland, Randy Hundley and Rick Monday.
We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything on the broadcast front…

Why not Dave Otto? He has been a steady and honest voice when Ron Santo has been absent, plus he knows baseball! Who else has filled in can give us (stuck on the Kennedy) the insight to what to throw (or not) in a tough spot? He’s been there in the booth for both Cubs/Sox radio/tv and gives all of true baseball fans a sense of calm, when we’d normally be pulling our hair out! I wish Dave all the luck and believe he deserves the first and only shot to sit next to Pat Hughes!
